TABLE MOUNTAIN TRAILERS: Saturday 20th July 2019: Constantia Neck to Window Gorge

Good Morning Trailers

Our route this week is an undulating out and back from Constantia Neck.  A nice route for those new to trail running.

Route details
From Constantia Neck we head up the jeep track to join the upper contour path.  Following the flow of the mountain we continue passed Skeleton Gorge to the next down turn on the right.  From here we join the lower contour above Kirstenbosch Gardens and navigate our way back via Cecilia forest to the cars.

Rendezvous and Start Time:
RV at Constantia Neck car park at 7:20am for sign in, ready to start running at 7:30am.

Terrain and Distance:

Mostly single track and forest paths, interspersed with boardwalk and jeep track for good measure (and hopefully a waterfall or two).

Distance: approx 12 kms taking about 2h30 mins for the Medium Group (depending on how many photos we stop to take)

Faster Group will follow a similar route with an extension decided on the day.

Relaxed Group will be confirmed on Friday.

Please Bring:
whistle, water, a warm /waterproof/windproof top dependent on weather, space blanket and ICE (In Case of Emergency) tag or card

This is a pack run and for safety, please check behind you to ensure that the person behind is still there and that they see where you turn off.  Routes are subject to deviation on the day.

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed on our runs.

Have a great week!

Regards
