Happy Friday Trailers!

Tomorrow, being Saturday the 13th of November, not the 6th November πŸ˜‚, is ON!

Rendezvous and start time
Meet at
6:25am at Theresa Ave, Camps Bay. We start running at 6h30am. Directions below

Groups
We will split into speed groups (keeping each other in sight) - with leaders and sweeps decided in the morning. We don't have an official slow group leader, if there are any last minute volunteers, let me know and I can post it on the WhatApp group

Dogs
Please note that  K-Way VOB club rules do not permit dogs on our runs.

What to bring
Water, whistle, warm/windproof top, rain jacket- weather dependent, space blanket, ICE ID - either on your phone, bracelet/tag, card in your backpack.

The weather can change fast on the top of the mountain. Please make sure that you are carrying the right equipment, enough food and water

ImportantPlease remember to look behind you at every turn in the route to make sure the people behind you see which way you are going.
Leaders of each group will ensure that no-one is left behind. Please keep the groups together and ensure that no-one is left on their own.

Directions to Theresa Ave:

From Cape Town, drive past the entrance to the Cable Car and continue down Camps Bay Drive. Turn left at the third road – Fiskaal – and zig zag up the mountain. The road becomes Francolin and eventually Theresa.

Park on the Sea side of the road facing the correct direction. Don't block any residents' driveways.

Please remember to adhere to the COVID principles below:

  • No gathering in a big group at start or end of the run
  • All runners to carry a mask or buff
  • Practice social distancing
  • We will break into small groups as per regulations while we run
  • No personal sign in – ensure the leader ticks you in/out. Please carry emergency contact numbers in your bag or on your wrist/shoe
  • We will monitor the groups on a weekly basis for size
  • VOB reserves the right to stop TMT if the COVID infections increase again in the Western Cape
  • If you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms, please stay at home
  • If you are not comfortable with group running yet, we hope to welcome you soon

See you there!
