feedback: Sat 19th May, Constantia Corner

13 Hardy souls ignored the weather and joined Julian under the dripping wet trees at Constantia nek for the run up to the dams via Constantia corner.  They experienced rain, a bitterly cold wind on the climb up but were rewarded with some stunning views across the peninsula.  The sun eventually came out to warm them on the run down back to the start.

Feedback: Sat 12 May Sunbird Centre/Silvermine

 Gaeleen reports:

When we left home it was very misty, but it didn't affect our run at all.
21 or so of us met and had a really lovely run - with at least 4 or 5
newbies join us as well.  Julian led the group, Jackie took the pictures,
and I acted as sweep.  We regrouped at every junction, so no-one lost or
injured. 14.3 km in about 2 h 45.
Belated Birthday wishes to Dave Bywater and
congratulations to Gaeleen who is now tied in first place in the runner's log with the highest number of sorties run with a total of 58 and a combined distance of 663 kms.

Feedback: Sat 5th May Table Mountain

I woke up to it raining outside and thought it would only be Julian and myself arriving at Kloof Neck, but by the time we set off the rain had lifted.   The route was probably one of our toughest, and the views spectacular.  Julian led the group, and Mike acted as sweep, and everyone made sure no-one missed a turn off, and although we often split into a faster and slower group, we regrouped often to admire the views.  We had our customary group photo taken at breakfast rock.  A couples of grazes, scrapes,  and sore muscles, but no major falls and I am sure enjoyed by all.  Distance 15.07 km – time – just over 3.5 hours.
