We RV'd in the parking area at the end of Beach Road in Noordhoek for a flat run along the hard sand. A small group this week - no fast runners except for Natalie, who led the Mediums as far as the ablutions in Kommetjie and back.
Heavy charcoal coloured clouds hung over the land while fluffy white ones floated over the sea making for an interesting skyscape.Surprisingly, although it had been a terrifically windy night, the morning dawned quite calm and apart from a very tiny sandstorm over the dunes just near the wreck, the sand stayed on the ground and didn't blind us. It was a balmy morning too, though none of us except Angela decided to test the water with our toes!
The supermoon promising uber-tides, the water's edge was exceptionally low and the lagoon at the Noordhoek end of the beach had completely dried up. Even the river crossing was manageable by means of rock-hopping rather than wading.
