Hi Trailers

Saturday's Newlands Forest meander is ON. Weather forcast predicts a warm morning, bring enough hydration for during and after the run. By the time we finish there should be 2 coffee trucks serving fresh coffee.

Route

Newlands Parking, Woodcutters, Contour Path, Kings Blockhouse return

Starting from Newlands Forest Parking  https://maps.app.goo.gl/w3YFJhhPHptA45BE6 (👈🏼 click for directions) we head straight up through Littlewort, heading up to Woodcutters, then the cycle track taking a right up to the Contour Path. Turning right on the Contour Path running all the way to the turnstile below Kings Blockhouse, from there we sprint down the jeep tracks back to The Forest Parking


Rendezvous and start time

Terrain & Distance

The route is single track,a few stairs and jeep track with lots of lovely runnable sections.

The planned route is around 14.65km, additional distance may be added depending on the pace group leader. Group leaders and speed groups will be decided on the day. Walkers will be decided amongest yourselves.

What to bring 

Water, whistle, a space blanket and your ICE information. The weather is going to be warm. Please come prepared.

Before you set off from home and pack the appropriate gear and hydration.

Note

  • TMT unfortunately does not allow dogs on its runs.
  • Please carry emergency contact numbers in your bag or on your wrist/shoe
