FEEDBACK: Saturday 28 September 2013 Silvermine South from gate 2
A good turnout of 29 with a slight delay due to the non arrival of the gate guard. But a substitute eventually arrived and after the usual briefing by Richard we split into the three groups with Richard leading the Main Group, Dawn the Recovery Group and Fay her walking group.
Weather was good with some sunshine although on the more exposed sections of the run a chill wind was present.
All in all a great run with Thanks to Richard and Dawn who planned and managed it.

FEEDBACK: Saturday 21 September 2013 Constantia Nek- Kirstenbosch
The Norwegians got it right! They forecast a short window of no rain for this morning and they were spot on. We drove up to the Nek in pouring rain wondering who else would be there but at 0640 the rain stopped and fourteen emerged from their cars looking somewhat surprised.
Having been warned by the parks board of the danger of mudslides and slippery trails higher up on the mountain the route was changed to keep us on the lower flanks away from the dangerous parts so the run became somewhat shorter than usual
The rest is history one of those bracing winter runs, it was a tad cool but most were soon shedding their outer layers as we warmed up.
Richard and Gregg led the main group on a faultless run through to Fernwood and back while the four of us in the recovery group followed on, soon to be overtaken by a tornado in the form of Geoff, who swept by to catch up with the main group, having thought that the start time was at 0700. Nothing like an early morning sprint to get going.
All in all a good run and yes no rain it only started again as we drove home!
About 12kms done in just over 2 hours

FEEDBACK: Saturday 7th September 2013: Tokai Forest to Steenberg Ridge
We had 30 enthusiastic Trailers turn up on
a beautiful sunny Spring morning including some newbies.
Richard lead us up the
lung busting climb to Level 5 where one of our runners had a minor skirmish
with a mountain biker stopping 1 cm before her nose. The front runners were
then free to have a bit of a gallop on the flattish bit to the Silvermine bike
parking lot where we regrouped and then headed up a bit more to the Lookout
point above Blackburn Ravine, clear views today and some obligatory photos at
this crowd pleasing spot.
Then back down Elephants Eye footpath (with Julian
and Mike doing a minor detour of their own) through that lovely woody bit
whereafter it was every man for himself on the downward dash.
Angela, fuelled
by a handful of nuts, took Natalie, Allison and Tamsyn by surprise with a
sneaky overtake on the corner manoeuvre on Level 3 and was responsible for them
arriving in the parking lot out of breath mumbling about ITB and sore knees.
Thanks to Richard for leading the Main Group, Gae for sweeping, Neil for
leading the Recovery Group and Lorraine for the photos even after grazing her
hands in a tumble. We ran about 14.7km in around 2hrs 30.
Allison.
