FEEDBACK: Saturday 7th September 2013: Tokai Forest to Steenberg Ridge

We had 30 enthusiastic Trailers turn up on a beautiful sunny Spring morning including some newbies.
Richard lead us up the lung busting climb to Level 5 where one of our runners had a minor skirmish with a mountain biker stopping 1 cm before her nose. The front runners were then free to have a bit of a gallop on the flattish bit to the Silvermine bike parking lot where we regrouped and then headed up a bit more to the Lookout point above Blackburn Ravine, clear views today and some obligatory photos at this crowd pleasing spot.

Then back down Elephants Eye footpath (with Julian and Mike doing a minor detour of their own) through that lovely woody bit whereafter it was every man for himself on the downward dash.

Angela, fuelled by a handful of nuts, took Natalie, Allison and Tamsyn by surprise with a sneaky overtake on the corner manoeuvre on Level 3 and was responsible for them arriving in the parking lot out of breath mumbling about ITB and sore knees.

Thanks to Richard for leading the Main Group, Gae for sweeping, Neil for leading the Recovery Group and Lorraine for the photos even after grazing her hands in a tumble. We ran about 14.7km in around 2hrs 30.

Allison.

Eina!
