FEEDBACK: Saturday 1st October 2016 - Pipetrack - Corridor Ravine - Kasteelspoort

A chilly morning greeted the runners gathered in the parking lot waiting for the register keepers. The day was overcast, but a glorious sunrise peeping round the corner seemed to promise better weather ahead.

With the register signed and instructions given, the three groups set off along the pipetrack at their various speeds.Jackets were quickly shed as we warmed up, although the clouds remained.

The fast group disappeared, but the medium group enjoyed the scenery, took photos and did more re-grouping. A cheerful group photo was taken at the base of Kasteelspoort where we would come down later

Despite the cloudy day, it was beautiful on the mountain; the flowers were out, streams were running and the views were stunning!

Corridor Ravine is a long and scenic uphill! We took it slowly... The faster runners huddled behind rocks at the top of the mountain to escape the cold wind while waiting.

The top of the mountain was chilly but beautiful. One half of the fast group had turned right to explore tranquility cracks, but we gave that a miss!.

At last we came to Kasteelspoort - the way down! A long spectacular downhill. Then back on to the pipetrack and home!

A beautiful fairly challenging run of around 14kms.
