Weather looks good but the top of the mountain is always cooler so come prepared.

Hi Trailers

On Saturday we will be  running from Constantia Nek and going up Skeleton Gorge and down Nursery Ravine. There are lots of route options there and back including one for those who don't want to go down Nursery

 

 

 Route details

 Start at Constantia Nek and run along the contour path to skeleton gorge.

Once we have gone up Skeleton, there is a choice: We can turn left and go directly to Nursery, or we can visit the beach and run alongside Healy Hutchinson and then turn back to Nursery (extra 2kms).

For those that don't want to go down Nursery, Gaeleen will be taking Smuts track and running down past the overseer's cottage and the concrete road.

Once down nursery we can return the way we came or we can go up rooikat and take the upper contour path

A variety of routes and distances - see attached map

Rendezvous and Start Time  

Be ready to start at 6:45am at Constantia  Nek

Terrain and Distance 

 

Single track, jeep track  with a climb and optional steep descent. Distances vary between 10 km and 14km depending on route chosen.

 Relaxed Group

 

There will be a relaxed group  

 

.Please Bring:  

 

A Whistle, water, a warm /waterproof/windproof top  dependent on weather , space blanket and ICE tag or card   

 

For safety, it is the responsibility of everyone to check behind you to ensure that the person behind is still there and that they see where you turn off
