Hi Trailers
In the need for speed or in the mood for a lovely steady pace, this Saturday we spoil ourselves to more running and less climbing in the beautiful surroundings of the Alphen Greenbelt, Cecilia Forest, Kirstenbosch etc.
We will split into two groups at the first regrouping station.
Date: Saturday, 26 March 2022
Meeting or Starting point: Constantia Sports Complex
Time: 6.10 am for 6.20am
Route:
Anticlockwise direction
Constantia Sports Complex, Alphen Greenbelt , Klaasenbosch, sections of Cecelia, Kirstenbosch, Constantia Nek and Diepriver trail back into the Alphen Greenbelt
Distances: 15kms (medium pace) and 11kms (less medium pace)
Duration: 2,5 - 3hrs
Regrouping points
1. tap before the little bridge (split into two groups)
2. Beginning of Klaasenbosch trail
3. Cecilia Forest Parking
4. 1st Jeep track above Cecilia stream

Slight difference to the last time we did the Alphen trail in December
Instead of the shorter distance running along the lower path of the cork trees they will now running on the jeep track above it and cut down heading towards Southern Cross
Dogs
Please note that K-Way VOB club rules do not permit dogs on our runs.
What to bring
Water, whistle, warm/windproof top depending on weather, space blanket, ICE ID - either on your phone, bracelet/tag, card in your backpack.
Covid
You know the drill by now. If not feeling well, stay at home. Bring a mask or buff along
Important: Please remember to look behind you at every turn in the route to make sure the people behind you see which way you are going.
Leaders of each group will ensure that no-one is left behind. Please keep the groups together and ensure that no-one is left on their own.
