Good morning trailers, tomorrow is on like donkey kong..

 

What to expect:

Some cooling south-east wind

Some heat

Some pain

Some elation

Lots of up

Lots of down

Some flat running

Happy people (this excludes the last steep part of Oudekraal ravine)

A relaxed pace (Jackie and Tim will be with mates)

Lots of regroups to grin at each other, talk about nothing important and eat snacks.

 

See you tomorrow for a 6:30 start, any questions, please ask.

I have heard nothing about a walking group.

Hi Trailers

 

This coming Saturday we will do an unusual route as in the subject.

 

Rendezvous and start time

We meet for our briefing and sign the register ready to start running at 06:30

RV at Theresa Avenue above Camps Bay

 

Route

Pipe track, Oudekraal, Yellowwod traverse, back home down one of the downs, plan for 4 hours, the fasties will probably do 3.5 hours at a guess.

 

Terrain and Distance

All sorts, lost of up, highlight is the cave at the start of the traverse, and the traverse itself.

 

Walking Group to be confirmed on Friday.

 

What to bring  

Water, whistle, warm/windproof top, rain jacket - weather dependent, space blanket, ICE ID - either on your phone, bracelet/tag, card in your backpack.

Please make sure that you are carrying the right equipment, enough food and water.

Important: Please remember to look behind you at every turn in the route to make sure the people behind you see which way you are going.  Please keep together and ensure that no-one is left on their own. 

PS  Sorry no dogs allowed on VOB runs
