This Saturday 19 September we are running Table Mountain Front Face.
Rendezvous and start time
Meet at 7:00 am at Kloof Nek top parking above MyCiti parking.
How to get there?
Drive up Kloof Nek Rd to the top and follow the signs to the Cable Station. After turning left onto Tafelberg Rd you will see a parking area on your left, it has two levels, turn left into the upper level.
Groups and route
Longer route: Up Kloof Corner steps to contour path to Oppelskop and return on lower path (14km). Not for those afraid of heights.
Shorter route: Up Kloof Corner steps to contour path to Platteklip and then down and return through Deer Park (10 km).
Dogs
Sorry no dogs!
What to bring
Water, whistle, warm/windproof top, rain jacket - weather dependent, space blanket, ICE ID - either on your phone, bracelet/tag, card in your backpack.
Will post a weather update on Friday. Please make sure that you are carrying the right equipment, enough food and water.
Important notes
Dress in weather appropriate and proper trail running gear. Must include a windproof (waterproof, if raining) jacket.
Carry plenty of water and energy snacks.
You are running voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.
