TABLE MOUNTAIN TRAILERS: Saturday 21th April 2018: Silvermine - Kalk bay Mountains Circuit

Hi Trailers,

 

This week sees us returning to Silvermine - Kalk Bay Mountains

 

Rendezvous and Start Time:

Silver mine Gate 1 (Same parking as for the River walk Run)

The gate opens at 7am so we'll have the briefing at the bottom car park at 7:15am.

 

Don't forget to bring your MyGreen card or Wild Card, or the R50 entrance fee - and your ID.

 

Rough Route and Terrain:
Starting from the bottom car park a Silvermine Gate1.

Cross Ou Kaapseweg.

Head along the Fisher man's Path  across Maiden Peak.

From hear we head down to the Dead man's path.

Follow Dead man's path and on the Amphitheatre.

From The Amphitheatre we head for Kalk Bay Peak.

Then Saint James Peak.

Then Muizenberg Peak

(Potentially Lower Steenberg Peak)

Fat Lady's Cave and then back to the parking.

 

More detailed description to follow.

 

The exact route will be decided by the various leaders on the day.

 

Terrain Gentle Single track and some Jeep track, Mostly undulating.

 

Relaxed Group will be confirmed on Friday

 

The small print:

All the usual rules apply with regard to water, warm tops and whistles, as well as space blankets and ICE information.

This is a pack run. Please remember to look behind you at every turn in the route to make sure the people behind you see which way you are going.  

Important for safety: Stay with your group. Front Runners, wait for the back of your pack to catch their breath before moving on.

Please note no dogs are allowed on our runs.
