TABLE MOUNTAIN TRAILERS - Saturday 28th July 2018

Morning Trailers

This week we return to the Deep South - Slangkop Lighthouse @ Kommetjie (we last ran this route on the 27th May 2017)

Brief Description of Route
From the parking area at Slangkop lighthouse we follow the boardwalk along the beach past the tented camp to the Kom. A short distance along the road and then back onto the beach.

Rendezvous and Start Time
RV in the parking at Slangkop Lighthouse in time to start running at 7.30am

Terrain and Distance
Mostly along the beach - distance 14kms which should take between 2 and 2.5 hours.

Groups
There will be three groups but due to the nature of this run runners may turn at any stage along the route. If you turn back please make sure that you are not running on your own.

How to get there?
From Ou Kaapse Weg turn right at the traffic lights to Kommetjie. Once in Kommetjie turn right into Lighthouse Road and continue along to the end.

Please bring:

A whistle, water, a warm & waterproof top, space blanket and ICE tag or card.

There are some lovely breakfast spots in the area for a coffee after the run.

3] are carrying the necessary water, clothing and safety equipment required for the particular run.
